The Sunshine Coast First Nation Tourism Precinct is set amongst the outstanding natural landscapes of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and will provide a world-class facility catering to the emerging wellness and ‘experience’ tourism markets.
The Sunshine Coast First Nations Tourism Precinct is proposed as a landmark cultural and tourism destination located at Frizzo Road Palmview (Lot 11 on SP131495). The Project aims to create a contemporary, architecturally iconic space showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through business, art, and enterprise.
Hanseath is working with The First Traders Limited to deliver the main tourism portion of the project. The First Traders Ltd is a First Nations-led not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, established to strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander economic participation through shared cultural and business spaces. The organisation curates collaborative tenancies, co-working environments, and retail hubs that bring together Indigenous-owned enterprises, artists, and professionals. The First Traders’ mission is to enhance the visibility of Indigenous entrepreneurship while offering visitors authentic cultural experiences grounded in storytelling, design, and connection to Country.
Both companies are committed to creating a precinct that showcases the natural environment by retaining approximately 30 hectares of the site as an environmental conservation area and wetland/riparian vegetation corridor.
It is anticipated that construction will commence as soon as practicable once approval is received from Sunshine Coast Council.
